During the spring of 2001, Raymond’s brother graduated from dental school. That summer, during the initial setup of his office, there were many dental IT related issues he would ask Raymond and Dat to help him with after work and on the weekends. Since they worked in IT, they were able to easily get his office up and running as well as help him whenever technology related issues arose. Impressed with their work, Raymond’s brother referred them to a friend who was also opening a dental practice, they accepted, and Dentek Systems was officially born.

With Nortel still as their day job, Raymond and Dat worked tirelessly after work and on weekends doing everything for the dental offices they supported. With a garage full of electronic parts as their operation headquarters, Dat and Raymond were building computers, setting up systems, running cables, and anything else that the dentists needed in their practice. Sometimes working so late most would consider it the morning, there was an innate need to always perform their absolute best and ensure that the care that they were supplying their quickly growing base of clients was of the utmost quality.

This intimate understanding of our clients persists and is the core foundation of what makes Dentek what it is today. While the days of working out of a garage are gone, the Dentek team always strives to put quality first because we genuinely care about our clients. To Dat and Raymond, Dentek is more than just an IT company. They care for the clients in the same way they cared for Raymond’s brother back in 2001 and that is what makes Dentek Systems unique.
